Configure the Cisco SPA personal directory

The Cisco SPA series includes a phone book that can be used to assist when dialling common numbers. To add phone numbers to the phone's directory please follow these steps:

Linksys / Cisco phone ringtone generator

This file enables custom ringtones to be generated for the Linksys / Cisco SPA9xx and SPA5xx series phones. 

Note: this is a Microsoft Windows application. To use it:

KB79405 - No ringing on inbound calls

Symptom: no audible ringing on inbound calls

Description: when a call is received on an affected phone there is no audible ring sound. The red light on the phone will flash and the call can be answered as normal.

Cause: The personal directory entry for the caller is set to NoRing.

To set up a Cisco / Linksys phone that we have created a provisioning file for, please do the following:

How to provision a Linksys ATA

How to re-provision the Linksys / Cisco SPA2102, SPA3102, PAP2T:
1. Pick up the handset and dial ****. You will hear a voice prompt
2. Then dial 73738#. You will be prompted to confirm. Dial 1. You should hear "Option successful".
3. After the device is reset, Pick up the handset (you may not hear a dialtone) and dial ****. You will hear a voice prompt.
4. Then dial 7932#. You will be prompted to enter an option. Dial 1#. You will be prompted to save. Dial 1. You should hear "Value saved".

Feature codes - Cisco phones

The following codes can be used to activate and deactivate various features on your phone or ATA

Call forward all activate: **72

Call forward all deactivate: **73

Call forward busy activate: **72

Call forward busy deactivate: **73

Call forward no answer activate: **92

Call forward no answer deactivate: **93

Call waiting activate: **56

Call waiting deactivate: **57

Do not disturb activate: **78

Do not disturb deactivate: **79

How to provision a Cisco / Linksys ATA

To set up a Cisco / Linksys ATA that we have created a provisioning file for, please do the following:

Connect the device

  1. Connect the device to the power
  2. Connect an ethernet cable to the Internet port of the device and connect the device to your network
  3. Plug a telephone into the phone port of the device
  4. Ensure that the power light on the device is lit steady green

Perform a factory reset on the device (not required for a new device)
