Outlook Dialer Plug-in

The Outlook integration tool enables you to call contacts directly from Outlook.

Instructions for setup:

Open Outlook
From the Menu choose Tools > Options ...
Click on the Asterisk Dialer tab
Enter the following details:
- Extension: SIP/MAC_address e.g. SIP/000E08DE1234
- Caller id: Name e.g. Hank's Outlook
- Gateway URL: http://apitest.conversant.co.nz/uniqueid/originate.php

Instructions for use:

To retrieve the number to be dialled:
Either:
- Click on an email. If the email is from someone in your contacts the number(s) to dial will be retrieved
- Click on a Contact.
In the menu bar you will see the contact listed. Click on the drop-down box to view other contact details
Highlight the desired contact and click on Dial
Your phone will ring. Answer the call and then the contact’s number will be dialled.

Technical information:

The Outlook plug-in communicates with us using standard HTTP on port 80. Data transferred is not encrypted.

What is VoIP?
